About Me

Stephanna Bennett is a San Diego based visual artist and illustrator. She graduated from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts in 2018 as a visual arts major. After attaining her Associates Degree in Fine Arts at San Diego Mesa College, she transferred to continue her education at California State University Long Beach, soon to attain a Bachelor’s Degree in Illustration. Along with many local art shows, Stephanna has been a part of numerous group and solo exhibitions including the Museum of Contemporary Art Student Exhibition (2016), an art showcase at the San Diego School District (2017), and various annual school exhibitions, including curating/setting up the artwork. She has also had the privilege of displaying art at the San Diego Repertory Theatre during the musical production of “Evita” (2017), as well as a solo showcase of six works on paper at the Linda Vista Public Library (2018). She was also responsible for the set up and organization of her space at her Senior Art Exhibition held at Liberty Station (2018), and displaying/selling work at a local Pop Art Sale (Artifacts & Artichokes, 2019). Her most recent group exhibition took place at the grand opening of Lotus Accounting and Tax Services (2020).

In addition to exhibitions, Stephanna has been awarded first place in the visual arts category for the year 2017 and 2018 at the IMIN student showcase. She was also awarded with the silver key for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in the “Drawing and Illustration” category and was awarded a Certificate of Participation for the Congressional Art Competition, presented by Congresswoman Susan Davis (2018). Furthermore, a design she created can be found for sale in the form of a t-shirt and sticker at Pigment, a local San Diego gift shop (2020-current).
